# Terminate

#### Overview

This section describes the steps required to terminate an employee and close related entries.

#### Steps

1. **Update Employee**
  - **Method**: `[PATCH] sprEmployee`
  - **Fields**:
    - `terminationDate (mandatory)`
    - `warningOfTerminationDate (optional)`
    - `groundsForTerminationId (optional)`
    - `orderOfTerminationNo (optional)`

          System auto-actions:

          

1. Auto-close all related entries like `sprContracts`, `sprAllocations`, `sprAbsences`.
2. Cut absences up to `terminationDate`
3. Deletes time sheet entries that are later then `terminationDate`
